The Southmore is located at the corner of Southmore and San Jacinto Street, in the heart of the Houston Museum District. The surrounding district consists of 20 museums, cultural centers, galleries and community organizations with a combined on-site attendance in excess of 6.6 million per year. Just south of the Project is the Texas Medical Center (TMC), the world's largest medical complex, comprised of 21 renowned hospitals, 13 support organizations, eight academic and research institutions, six nursing programs, three public health organizations, three medical schools, two universities, two pharmacy schools, and a dental school. TMC employs in excess of 106,000 people. In addition, there are more than 7.2 million visits per year; more than the populations of Los Angeles, Houston, and San Francisco combined.
The 24 story tower includes 233 residential units which will house approximately 400 residents. On the first level, there is approximately 3,000 square feet of restaurant space available, adjacent to the Project's semi-private park which is available to accommodate additional outdoor seating and entertainment.
